Chili Cookoff

This Saturday is our chili cookoff at the church at 6:00 p.m. It is going to be great. We are going to have great food and learn how to do your own emergency preparedness and different things! Come and enjoy!!

This week's events

Tuesday is Humanitarian Day. Meet at the humanitarian center at 10:30. On Wednesday, it's book club at Theresa Huston's home at 7:00. Thursday, we have scrapbooking at Candy Rendon's from 9-12. Also Thursday night is our Enrichment night at 7:00. Try to get to the temple before Thursday and read the "Preparing to Enter The Holy Temple" pamphlet. We have lots available if you don't have one. Read earlier post for more details. Have a great week;)

Busy weekend

Friday, we have lunch bunch at Theresa Huston's home at 11:30. Bring a potluck to share and kids are welcome! Also, it is our ward temple night that night at 6:30. On Saturday, there is a family primary activity at Stephenson's park at 11:00. And of course Happy Mother's day on Sunday!!

Enrichment challenge

MAY 22 IS OUR ENRICHMENT NIGHT.

" Strengthening Eternal Relationships"

Join us for a spiritual feast as we listen to Dr. Joseph Turner teach us valuable tools needed to strengthen our Eternal relationships. -Meet in chapel @ 7:00 p.m. (Sunday dress please)-Child care provided if other arrangements can not be made. *Our Enrichment Challenge = We are asking EVERY SISTER to visit the temple at least ONCE during the month of May. Either by walking the grounds, doing baptisms for the dead, participating in a sealing or a session. We are also asking each sister to read the Holiness to the Lord's pamphlet by Boyd K.Packer. They are available in the Relief Society room.

* Guest Speaker Bio: Dr. Joseph Turner (Professor at Colorado State University for over 30 years and has served as department head of human development and family studies as well as being a marriage and family therapist in private practice. Former mission president, Bishop and 1st Counselor in a Stake Presidency.) He's flying in just for this enrichment so please make an effort to attend. It should be wonderful.
